Gig Harbor Junior Sailing is always looking for talented individuals who would like to help us provide high quality learn-to-sail and racing programs for youth!

Looking for a great place to spend your summer? We are searching for Junior Instructors for Summer 2025! Junior Instructors build professional experience by volunteering their time to help us run excellent Sail Camp programming for local kids. Junior instructors are primarily tasked with assisting our Sailing Instructors in providing safe, fun, and effective learning experiences. If you want to become a certified sailing instructor and acquire a paid position with us, this is the best place to start!

Want to become a certified Sailing Instructor? In our Youth Intern program, you can earn reimbursement for your US Sailing Level 1 Small Boat Instructor Certification fees! See our Gig Harbor Junior Sailing Employee Development Program

Gig Harbor Junior Sailing and TYC Junior Sail programs partner to provide programming at the TYC Wollochet Bay Outstation (3418 White Cloud Ave NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98335) and West Shore Marina (3815 Harborview Dr, Gig Harbor, WA 98332). Junior instructors may be assigned to either facility.

Thanks to the Rotary Club of Gig Harbor for generously sponsoring our Gig Harbor Junior Sailing Employee Development Program, allowing local sailors to earn their US Sailing Level One Instructor Certifications. Through this program, more local kids are able to build professional experience and share their passion for sailing by teaching the next generation!
