Sail Camp

 

Our summer camps teach youth the basics of sailing small dinghies in a supportive environment. Through our camps, kids can progress from no sailing experience to confidently and independently operating their own vehicle within weeks!

Who We Are

Gig Harbor Junior Sailing is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to providing a safe, fun and educational environment for youth. Our programs develop local sailors at all skill levels and challenge them to achieve confidence and independence on the water.

Race Team

 

We support a robust race program throughout the summer, fall, and spring each year. Our sailors compete in Club 420's, Lasers, FJ's, and Optimists at a regional and national level. Programs range from entry level to competitive. If your sailor is interested in racing, we have a program for you!

What is Next?

We are thrilled with our progress and momentum since 2009, and excited for the future. 

2024 was an excellent year for our organization, and we have big goals in mind for 2025. We are looking forward to pursuing a waterfront facility to call home, supporting more underserved youth in our scholarship program, and strengthening our program staff and race teams.
